Trip to San Diego

**Did anyone else's pageviews get completely deleted?  I haven't signed in in a few weeks, and tonight I noticed that I have 1 pageview.  Last time I checked I had over 8,000.**

About a month ago I headed down to just north of San Diego to watch my two nephews for the weekend.  My sister and brother in law had a wedding to shoot down there and needed a babysitter.  They forced me to go.  I hate when that happens.

I just uploaded a bunch of pictures off my camera last week and forgot that I never posted the pictures of them.

Friday night we all went and had dinner on the beach, which was super fun!  Saturday morning we were kind of in a rush to get ready since the shower head flew off the wall when we turned on the water and water was spraying everywhere.  Then we had to wait for the maintenance guy come fix it before any of us could shower.  That was fun, too.

Then the boys and I headed to the duck pond so they could get ready to go to their wedding.

Duck Pond.  Lunch at In-n-Out.  Naps. Dinner at Pizza Hut.  Desert at Yogurtland.

Throwing bread to the ducks

Two finger sucker

Not exactly sure what he was doing in this picture, but it made me laugh

Nothing like chocolate yogurt and sour worms
Next post will be all about the fair.  We just finished our week long county fair, and boy was it a great week!  So proud of "our" kids!!

One year ago

This Saturday is our 11 month wedding anniversary.  Since our engagement was so short, I was trying to look for a picture that was taken on April 14th of last year just to see what we were doing one month before our wedding.  Oddly enough, I didn't have a picture on the 14th.  The pictures shortly before and after that date consist of planting flowers in front of the house & having a cocktail...or three...at the Ag Booster fundraiser that we helped with.  The cocktail was exactly 14 days before the wedding.  It was well worth the money spent :)

I also came across some pictures of DJ on April 12th.  A year ago today.  So funny to see the changes in him.  We see him at least once a week, so the changes aren't really noticeable, or we don't really pay attention to the changes, but when you look back at older pictures, the changes are really noticeable!

This picture was taken one year ago, today.

This picture was taken two days ago.  He was being silly when we were at JC Penny's looking for a new shirt & tie for Chris's class reunion this Saturday.

We think he was going for the toothless, old man look.  What do you think?

You can definitely still see the same kid, but the chubby cheeks have slimmed down, he's grown like a foot, & he has a big boy hair cut.

We love this kid & his little sister and she is a spitting image of him when he was that little.

Picture Post

Again, I am totally sucking at blogging lately. 10 days to be exact. Lame.

We have been pretty busy lately.  Just about finished with lambing with 4 ewes left to go.  We've got 15 babies on the ground, with only 1 bottle baby, so that's not too bad.

Not a whole lot of words for tonight's blog.  I'm tired and we have to stay up a little while longer to feed the baby for the last time tonight because tonight is it's first night not getting fed in the middle of the night.  I'm sure he'll be fine.  It sucks to have to wake up at 2:00am and get dressed and walk out to the barn when it's in the high 20's and bottle feed this lamb.  Thanks to the hubby, he lets me stay curled up under the down comforter :)

Here's some pictures of what's been going on around here lately.  I'm starting something new tomorrow.  More on that later tho.

DJ & Shyanne...he loves his little sis!
Watching the sheep sale at FSU.  Teach 'em young.
Redoing kitchen cabinets.  Bad idea to start this project in the middle of winter.  But I can't wait for the finished product.
Sleeping in the backseat of the truck on top of the shotgun.  It's meant to be
Cuddling in the barn
New camo bed for her to stay on while in the house
Got a dairy goat.  Now I'm out there milking this thing twice a day.

It's milk...not beer.  He doesn't walk straight as it is :)

Oh look, another dairy goat.  Now I have 2 to milk twice a day :)
More stuff coming tomorrow.  Promise.  I need to make time for this, I just haven't lately.

Most of these pics came off my instagram feed.  You can follow me at amycoolidge85

And if you don't have instagram on your phone.  Get it!!  It's amaaaazzzzing.

Oh Pinterest...

I am probably the least crafty person you will ever know.  Sometimes if I see something, I can recreate it.  Sometimes.  But I can never just pull an idea out of my butt and turn that idea into something cool.  Now, my sister is miss crafty.  And thank goodness she is because if I just keep pinning stuff on Pinterest that I want, then maybe she'll keep making stuff for me.  K, Erin?

While we were in AZ I was given my birthday presents early, so we could celebrate as a family.  A few weeks ago, I repinned something off of my sister's board, onto mine and she noticed.  Like I said before, if I just keep doing this, maybe I'll get the same result :)

This is what I pinned.

And this is what Erin made me

I l.o.v.e. it!  We hung it in our entry way and it looks awesome.

Since we are on a tight budget this holiday season, we are a little short on Christmas decor.  I saw this wreath on Pinterest the other day.  Couldn't count on Erin to make it for me since we won't see them till after Christmas. :) So I headed to the lovely Dollar Store yesterday and bought the supplies.  Lots and lots of Christmas ball ornaments.  Big ones, small ones, glittery ones and ones that jingle.

I picked up our friend's little boy from day care today and when we came back to the house, I decided I wanted to work on my project.  I opened the trunk of my car to get the supplies out and DJ yells, 'CHRISTMAS!'  I wish you could have heard it.  It was adorable.

Here's my little helper

He kept putting the balls back in the plastic containers them dumping them out and saying "Christmas, Christmas trees."  I love him.

The beginnings of my project.

And the finished product!

I knew I never should have joined Pinterest.  I'm hooked.

Thanksgiving Trip

We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Ours was fast but enjoyable.  We made a trip to AZ to see my sister, brother in law and two nephews.  My parents were there too.  Left Wednesday, came back Sunday.  Not a whole lot of words this time, but lots of pictures.

In RANDOM order...

G wearing 'Oh Kiss's' hat (Uncle Chris) We kept laughing cuz it almost sounds like he is saying "Old Chris"

Mallie did soooo good in the car.  Slept almost the whole way...both ways

My dad & G in the Milo field across from their house

Baby S all wrapped up

G & Chris holding hands in Wal Mart.  So cute!
We went out to dinner for mine & my dad's early b-day.  Mongolian food.   So yummy.  They had a cardboard cut out in front.  G & Chris had fun in it.
He just stood behind there and kept smiling.  Even when we weren't taking pictures of him.
More to come tomorrow!

Sweet, Sweet Baby

A few months ago, I showed you an ultrasound picture of our nephew that was due to be born in November.  Well, he has arrived!  My sister went into labor on Halloween, in the afternoon, and was determined to not have that baby on Halloween.  She claimed it was a lame birthday.  So her and the Dr.'s worked together to deliver that baby at the strike of midnight.  So he has a cool birthday of 11/1/11.  I love this little boy so much already and I haven't even had the chance to meet him yet.  My sister and her family live in AZ, but we will be heading there for Thanksgiving in a few weeks.

Introducing...Sawyer William DeZago
7 lbs 12 oz, 19.75 inches long & 15 days early

I am just amazed at how similar he looks to Greyson when he was born.  This is Greyson right after he was born.

So proud of my sister and I just have to say they have the cutest little boys.
Can't wait to meet you Sawyer!!
